The Consumer Reports survey consisted of 1,700 completed telephone surveys among adults whose household owned at least one car.  Consumer Reports conducted the survey to see how consumers’ view of a brand’s commitment to customers and quality has changed due to Toyota’s recall predicament.

According to the Consumer Reports National Research Center survey, customers ranked Honda “71% for customer commitment and 73% for quality.” Honda beat out rivals such as Ford and Nissan. Chevrolet also made the list at “56% for both customer commitment and quality commitment”, still beating out Toyota and Hyundai. “The key to this accomplishment is that Honda has a reputation for building good vehicles that perform well.” (Consumer Reports)
